Server logs ? They just give you unfiltered infos about accesses and errors,
no ?
They can't tell you "this user subscribed at that time" or "warning, this
function returned abnormal results", ...
Server logs are generated by... the server so you only have limited control
on it.
When you generate you own logs, you can trace exactly what you want, being
warned by e-mail in case of big bugs, etc.
