[OT] Reasonable going rate for Virtual Private Hosting

What's a reasonable price for VPS hosting nowadays? I see prices as low
as $7 a month (http://www.westhost.com/). Is it too good to be true?
I'm still paying over twenty a month for shared hosting. Any experience
with a particular provider?
