I'm 50% Italian and 50% French ... well .. not quite as my my grand
father, on my mother's side, was from Austria ... which justfy my
German middle name.
I'm confortable with English by now as I'm with Italian or French ...
since I've been in the US for 13 years.
I will write somethig on either public websites you mention. But please
allow me a couple of weeks.
I've just moved here and have a lot of not research related work to do
every day when I leave the lab. The moving company has lost some of my
items, delivered most of my furniture in form of pieces of wood as
they took it apart in TN but did not take the trouble to reassemble it
here in IL, even if was put in writing ! Everything is dirty , dusty
...
Putting things together and cleaning the mess is my second job at the
moment.
At the lab they they pushing for results all the time.
It's well known that postdoc is the continuation of the graduate
student enslavery period.
Cheers,
Maura
