Active Tcl beta version does not uninstall

Hi,

I downloaded the ActiveState Tcl beta version, which is advertised on their
site as being 8.5a3 (and filename is
ActiveTcl8.5.0.0b3.121397-win32-ix86.exe, note the "b3").

1.
After installation, info patchlevel spits:
8.5a2

Why?

2.
Uninstall fails at the very beginning. It says it can't find some directory
(and in that matter it is right), but this directory name is constructed
from one of my local paths (in which I did not install Tcl) concatenated
with the correct installation dir of Tcl. However, there is no
slash/antislash between these two parts, therefore it fails.
At this point it is a mess to remove that version, because the registry must
be cleaned by hand and so on. I know, it's a beta.

OS is Windows XP SP2.
