A favor from U.S. Tclers for people in New Orleans

Please call you U.S. Representative and Senator and ask:

For people who had purchased the maximum flood insurance ($250,000 is the
limit that the U.S. Government would sell you), please pass legislation
directing FEMA to pay the pre-flood appraisal value of the property.

Senerio: Someone has a $800,000 house who owes over $250,000 (that is the
max you can buy) -- the check goes to the bank and the person is forced into
bankruptcy. These are the people who owned and ran businesses, if they are
forced into bankruptcy the businesses will also fold.

I'm not in that situation, but people I know are.

Please pass on the request to other networks that you may be a part of.

Thanks!
