FastCGI Anyone???

Good people,

While researching some back end performance things, I keep coming back
to FastCGI as a possible solution.

However, the product/project seems to be dead or very inactive.

Is AOL Server the only solution for a Tcl-Enabled back end besides just
a coventional CGI method of execution on a Web Server?

Anyone got any other tips for this?
