Yes, the situation described in the first post on your URL is just
the same as mine. Ok, so I wasn't the first one to find it :-(
But at least, honestly, I found it myself.

hmm, as this thread is a spin-off of the thread about a sudoku-solver
written in tcl, and since it is not exactly a "high volume" thread,
I don't yet have a bad conscience, but we can stop this subthread
now, since the trick was obviously already known in the public...
