I'm going to try to do this. I love Tcl, and I love the ideas that
y'all have. However, there's no way I can do this by myself. What I
can offer is a medium to share the expertise, experience, and great
opinions that so many of you have.

I can edit and organize content and eventually design a system to
manage it all. I'm going to build a user-friendly, interesting site
that will hopefully appeal to the entire programming community and
generate interest in Tcl/Tk, enabling people to discover its
simplicity, elegance, and usefulness.

I think we can all agree that Tcl is a great language, and I believe
that it can become one of the dominant scripting languages in use,
given the right exposure. With tools like Rivet, the browser plugin,
and the advent of Tile, Tcl is set to become a huge mainstream success.
I want to help this happen with a site that's useful for seasoned Tcl
users and appealing to new users at the same time.

But like I said, this is no job for one man. It'll take many of us to
make this happen. I've seen articles written on the wiki worthy of a
Nobel prize in literature. If some of you wanted to contribute some of
your wiki posts, they could be incorporated. Even real short articles
will be interesting to read -- not every article has to be a five page
epic. And for people who donīt have english as their native language,
donīt worry about things like grammar and perfect punctuation, since I
can proofread and edit every contribution.

Anyway, keep your eyes on www.TclTalk.com over the next few months.
And to offer any type of help or to contribute content, just send me an
email.
