Because it takes apparently years to change anything at www.tcl.tk. And
because if one is going to get this thing moving one can't post anywhere
an "advertisement" saying "There is some new content at www.tcl.tk", since
everyone remembers "www.tcl.tk, why that sounds familiar.. oh, yes, it is
that weird page. next article." There simply is too much burden of the
past at www.tcl.tk to start/continue there.

I personally have witnessed a case when someone thought wiki.tcl.tk is not
worth looking at because www.tcl.tk had been such a mess for such a long
time (needless to say, that person got straightened out rather quick). You
must admit, www.tcl.tk has fame, but it is not good one.

And, last, it is always nicer to create something own than enhance someone
elses old, one gets bigger font for initials that way :)
