The only way you'll be able to do it is to give the user incentives to collude
with you to keep your product to themselves. This might include using an
encoded watermark with information which would allow you to track down
the leaker, located in either the binary or the license.

Even then, as someone else mentioned, no scheme's foolproof and whatever
scheme you use will be open to analysis and abuse. The toughie is making
the time and effort to do so costs more than your purchase price.

If your software is going to be sold at a high price, it probably
is worth looking to a specialist commercial product in the license
management field; something like FlexLM (or whatever it's called now).
