I really don't want to labour the point, but there are scenerios where
there are some protection software ( a driver that you can only kick
out in a safe mode), which will make it difficult for a cracker but
easier for hacker (as he sits in front of the machine) whereas cracker
relies on the session and his ability to be able to install something
that he might not be able to do without a reboot etc etc. My point is:
in certain scenerios cracker could be at a disadvantage compared to a
hacker sitting in front of the computer because they might not be able
to do install certain things depending on the type of protection
deployed on the machine.
