Hello,

Hope someone can answer/solve this one:

I'm trying to get images of a webcam.
The webcam can be reached through a webpage on

http://192.168.1.188:8080

I myelf am in subnet 192.168.2.x

When I enter the address in internet Explorer I see the full webpage
except.....the video-image of the camera. There's a red cross...as if the
image cannot be found:-(

The windows XP firewall is turned on.
In the log I see the following:

2005-05-25 21:03:32 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1650 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:35 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1651 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1652 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1653 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1654 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1655 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1656 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1657 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1658 48 RECEIVE
2005-05-25 21:03:41 DROP TCP 192.168.1.188 192.168.2.72 8080 1659 48 RECEIVE
and so on....

I added a port-exception:

port : 8080 TCP
scope : any computer

Still the firewall-logs are te same.....keeps blocking...probably because
it's connecting to a different port everytime???
I'd really like to know what I have to do to avoid those dropped
packages...?!

Now the not funny part...........when I turn off the firewall.....still no
picture!

Hope I get some usefull input....

gr,
