The computer has Norton Firewall and Norton System Works, neither of which includes Anti
Spam. Our ISp provides a spam filter, and Mozilla Thunderbird has one also. Not much
gets past these two checks.

I've had this happen on another computer. The fixes Symantec recommended were complex and
time consuming, and didn't work. Full uninstalling and reinstalling did work that time.

This is one of the things Symantec recommended. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I'm
considering uninstalling and reinstalling both Norton programs, having no other ideas of
what might help.
