The question doesn't make sense. I'm not writing such code; I'm
showing your assertion to be false.

That's what I'm advocating, yes. Apply a reasonable discipline
instead of believing Gwyn's advice. His naively incorrect claims
of C's safety are simply false. Why else would he write
nonsequiturs such as, "So why are you writing code that does
that," instead of responding to the refutation of his claims?
