Yes, may be they could not find enough talented programmers in the U.S.
If you can have 5 guys working for the price of one, and em 5 are not
so bad as the good one is good....I think it is indeed wise to hire
them

And as for guys working at " 5 cents a day here....Where the hell did
you read that?

The thing is what $ translates into here. A avg Higher Middle Income
Group Fellow earns around 75K Indian Rupees a month. Thats around $
1400. And that 75K here can get you a higher standard of life than $
5000 pm in the U.S.

And for that 75K you can get an equally good (If not better) programmer
here in India.

A practical example...My Bachelor's Degree in Engg here costs my folks
around INR 150,000 here pa (Food, Clothing, Lodging, Booze, Grass...All
included :) ) No scholarships and all.

Now INR 150,000 is what, $ 2700 or less! And thats just it. Things are
a lot cheaper here. You get better talent for lesser buck. And why
would any organization lose on such an opportunity?
